Use your Pyre card where Visa is accepted. Pyre does not charge an FX fee when you pay in another currency.
You do not need to turn on a travel mode before you go abroad.
Pay in a local currency
- Pay with your Pyre card as normal.
- If the terminal asks which currency to use, select the merchant's local currency.
- Check the final amount before you confirm.
Pyre calculates the PyreUSD amount charged using the exchange rate applied to the card transaction. Pyre does not add an international or foreign currency fee.
The merchant may offer its own currency conversion or add a separate fee. Select the merchant's local currency to avoid the merchant's conversion when the terminal gives you a choice.
ATM withdrawals
ATM withdrawals are not available with Pyre cards at launch.
If an ATM-related transaction appears that you do not recognise, go to Wallet > select your card > Freeze. Then contact support now.
